What happens to your wood?
We take your wood back to our workshop in Preston. We carefully sort through it and allocate a grade to each piece - this tells us what it will be used for.
Grade 1 wood is untreated wood and timber that is of high quality and is in standard lengths. This is re-sold to both trade and public customers.
Grade 2 wood is untreated wood that is of good quality but in shortened lengths. This wood is either re-sold as it is or used in our workshop to make goods such as bird tables, benches, and boxes. See our Products page for further details.
Grade 3 is short length, damaged timber, treated wood, treated gate or skirting boards etc - these we sand, re-polish and sell
Grade 4 wood is wood that cannot be used for any of the above. We pay a local company to take this wood and chip it and turn it into chipboard.
